Heffernan Foundation, the Charitable Giving Program of Heffernan Insurance Brokers, was once again named a Top Corporate Philanthropist in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Times. This is the 10th year we received recognition, but this year we received an extra cherry on top by being one of twenty companies to receive the Community Commitment Award. Only companies that give back more than one percent of profit are given the award, and we gave back over 16%. That 16% translates into over $450,000 being donated to Bay Area-based charities and cash giving per Bay Area employee at $1,607. That’s some serious giving!
We’re very much looking forward to next year’s rankings since our Foundation Benefit alone raised over $850,000 in one night!
